IGP orders crackdown against criminals


ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Wajid Ali Durrani has said that slackness in resolving the cases of grave crimes like murder and dacoity would not be tolerated and effective crackdown should be continued against anti-social elements.

The IGP, in a statement, directed the policemen to arrest the accused involved in crimes of heinous nature, adding that any kind of slackness would not be accepted in this regard.

He also ordered to take stern action against proclaimed offenders, absconders, drug pushers, offenders and criminals involved in other offenses.

The IGP further directed to use all resources in crackdown against the anti-social elements so that society could be purged of these criminals.
